About World University of Design, Sonipat
The World University of Design (WUD) is a private university located in Sonipat, Haryana, India. It was established in 2018 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). WUD focuses on providing education in the field of design and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines such as fashion design, product design, transportation design, industrial design, graphic design, interior design, animation, and visual effects, film and television production, game design, and communication design.
WUD follows a multidisciplinary and hands-on approach to education, encouraging students to explore different aspects of design and develop innovative solutions. Learning Culture - WUD Sonipat believes in the learning values of different cultures and has collaborated with several organisations at national and international levels to provide a rich experience to its students.
Hostel - Separate hostels for both male and female students are available. The hostels are fully furnished and are wifi enabled. A separate laundry service is also provided. There is a tuck shop to take care of routine daily requirements.
Health Facilities - A basic health care unit including a full-time nurse and a doctor on call is also available for any emergency case.
Library - WUD maintains a library amply equipped with physical and soft copies of books, journals and magazines from all disciplines. The library provides a peaceful environment to the students for their study and research purpose.
Workshops and Art Gallery - There is a dedicated workshop where students can hone and enhance their skills. WUD Sonipat also has an art gallery on campus for displaying not only the work of its own students but also holding curated art shows.
Boys Hostel
World University of Design, Sonipat has hostel facilities for boys on the campus premises. The WUD boys’ hostel has various facilities like air-conditioned Wi-Fi enabled hostel rooms equipped with attached bathrooms, a hostel kitchen, laundry service, tuck shop, health care unit etc.
Girls Hostel
World University of Design, Sonipat has hostel facilities for girls. WUD girls’ hostel facilities include air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled hostel rooms with attached bathrooms. Other facilities available in the girls’ hostel are a hostel kitchen, Wi-Fi, laundry service, tuck shop, health care unit etc.

World University of Design, Sonipat has a training and placement cell that plays an important role in the placement drive. The placement cell bridges the gap between students and the corporate world. It provides guidance and counselling to the students for their careers. It also conducts technical and soft skills programs to increase the confidence of the students which ultimately helps during the final placement. The placements till 2021 were 92% with the remaining opting for higher education and incubation. For the year 2022, pre-placement offers are already streaming in with the top package so far being Rs.24 LPA.
